ROME (ITALPRESS) – At 34, Sadio Mané has officially announced the end of his career with the Senegal national team. “I sacrificed everything for this flag. I gave my all and always fought for our country,” said the former Liverpool player, now playing for Al-Nassr, in a statement reported by Le Quotidien a few days after their elimination from the 2026 World Cup.
Looking ahead, at the end of his career, he is eyeing a role as coach or at the top of the Italian Football Federation: “I will gladly put my experience at the service of the nation, whether as a member of the technical staff, on the sidelines as a coach, or in governing bodies,” said Mané, who won the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations with the Senegal national team.
