ROME (ITALPRESS) – The President of the Libyan High Council of State (Senate), Mohamed Takala, met in Tripoli with the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, to discuss the latest political developments and ways to support the political settlement process.
According to a statement posted by the Libyan High Council of State on Facebook, Orlando opened the meeting by congratulating Takala on his recent re-election as President of the Council. The two reviewed cooperation between the Council and the EU in addressing current challenges and emphasized the importance of unifying institutions and intensifying efforts to bridge the gaps between Libyan political factions, with the aim of achieving the stability and elections desired by the Libyan people.
