CAIRO (EGYPT) (ITALPRESS) – Egypt’s foreign exchange reserves reached a new record of $57.35 billion at the end of September, rising by $134 million compared with August, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt.

The increase was supported by improved performance across key sources of foreign currency, including exports, tourism revenues, remittances from Egyptians living abroad and proceeds from the Suez Canal.

In the first eight months of 2026, tourist arrivals reached 12.7 million, up 4.1% year-on-year, while tourism revenues rose to $12 billion, an increase of 1.7%.
