MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Stefan De Vrij’s Inter Milan experience will most likely end in June. The 34-year-old Dutch defender’s contract is expiring, and there are no signs of a renewal: the offer of an extension, but with a lower salary, was reportedly rejected by the player. Benfica could be in his future: according to “A Bola,” De Vrij has already indicated his availability.
Currently, there are no formal negotiations in particular, because Da Luz are awaiting a decision on Otamendi, whose contract is also expiring. In any case, Benfica is already looking around to strengthen its defense and, in addition to De Vrij— also courted by Olympiacos and Turkish and Saudi clubs— they are reportedly evaluating the 21-year-old Brazilian from Gremio, Viery, who, however, would require an investment of around €20 million.
