CAIRO (ITALPRESS) – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a telephone conversation with Antonio Tajani, Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. According to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the two ministers discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Egypt and Italy and to build upon the momentum seen across various sectors—in line with the directives of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni—for the mutual benefit of both countries.
Abdelatty and Tajani also exchanged views on a range of regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing diplomatic solutions and dialogue, de-escalating tensions, and avoiding any military escalation that could threaten regional security and stability or compromise the safety and freedom of navigation.
