ROME (ITALPRESS) – French football is in mourning. Bryan Bergougnoux, who last season was part of the Le Havre coaching staff as Didier Digard’s assistant, has died at just 43 years old, after a battle with parotid cancer.
A former midfielder, Bergougnoux, who developed in the Lyon youth academy, where he won three league titles, also played for Toulouse, Lecce, Chateauroux, Omonia Nicosia, and Tours. He played with the Salento club from 2009 to 2012, making ten appearances without ever scoring. He also represented France at the Under-21 level, scoring nine goals in 20 appearances. As head coach, he led Thonon Evian and Tours.
