ROME (ITALPRESS) – The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined Leo Messi. As stated in the statement, the Inter Miami forward “violated the league’s rule regarding the use of hands on the face, head, or neck of an opponent in the 101st minute of the match between Miami and Philadelphia Union on August 19.”
The video, attached by the league, shows Messi pushing away his opponent, Quinn Sullivan, with a light blow to the face. The amount of the fine was not specified.
