ROME (ITALPRESS) – Kylian Mbappé has called Celeste Amarilla, a Paraguayan senator, “a despicable woman” and accused her of “blatant racism” over comments she posted on social media following Paraguay’s elimination by France. “She is a despicable woman, unworthy of her office,” Mbappé wrote on X. “She does not represent Paraguay—a country that exuded passion and honor throughout the competition. Because of her recklessness and blatant racism, the whole world has already forgotten the historic journey and effort made by her players during this World Cup, overshadowed by an incompetent woman who presents the worst possible image of her country. I will never allow people like her the freedom to spread their hatred and racism across the world,” Mbappé wrote. The senator had described Mbappé as a “colonized Cameroonian who shamelessly pretends to be French.”
