LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – “This is not about my future. It’s about the club, the players and the fans. The lads are looking for a reward for their hard work: a match in which they can secure a victory to dedicate to the fans, who deserve it for the support they have given us.” Álvaro Arbeloa is looking beyond the rumours. Fulham are bottom of the table with two points after six rounds, and tomorrow’s match against Hull City could prove decisive for the Spanish manager’s future at the club.
However, the 43-year-old former Real Madrid player and coach believes he still has the backing of his squad. “Have the players shown that they believe in my ideas? They demonstrated it for long periods against Ipswich. We saw it against Manchester United and Liverpool, too. However, we need to maintain that level for all 90 minutes. I have also seen the players’ commitment in training. They are very focused on tomorrow’s match.”
