TUNIS (TUNISIA) (ITALPRESS) – Libyan Interior Minister Emad Trabelsi welcomed his Tunisian counterpart, Khaled Nouri, to Tripoli for an official visit. According to a statement posted by Minister Trabelsi on his official Facebook account, the meeting addressed security cooperation, joint coordination, and the exchange of expertise to bolster the security and stability of both nations.
Trabelsi attended the 62nd-anniversary celebrations of Libyan Police Day. He paid tribute to the history of the police force, those who have fallen in the line of duty, and the officers’ training academy established in 1976. He reaffirmed the commitment to combating smuggling and irregular migration, rejecting any form of migrant settlement or security threat. He emphasized that the security of Tunisia is the security of Libya—and vice versa—and that their historic ties necessitate continued cooperation.
