LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Gary O’Neil has returned to England. Appointed by Strasbourg last January to replace Liam Rosenior, who moved to Chelsea, the 43-year-old English coach has been named the new manager of Ipswich Town, the newly promoted Premier League side.

Ipswich were searching for a new head coach after Kieran McKenna stepped down to take a break from football. O’Neil has signed a contract running until 2029 and will be joined by his coaching staff, including Tim Jenkins, Neil Critchley, and Ed Ames.

During his spell in France, the former Bournemouth and Wolverhampton manager guided Strasbourg to the semi-finals of both the French Cup and the UEFA Conference League, while leading the club to an eighth-place finish in Ligue 1.
