LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Having arrived last summer from Bologna, Sam Beukema could leave Napoli after just one season. According to “TEAMTalk,” Liverpool have set their sights on the 25-year-old Dutch center-back: Arne Slot has long admired him, so much so that he attempted to sign him from Go Ahead Eagles when he was manager of Feyenoord.
The presence of other compatriots in the squad would facilitate Beukema’s inclusion, but he is under contract with Napoli until 2030 and is valued at around €35 million. Slot’s plans for the former Bologna player would be an important addition to the defense, which should still include Ibrahima Konaté (close to a renewal) and Jeremy Jacquet, who has been booked by Rennes.
Van Dijk is leaving for 35, and Giovanni Leoni will need time to return to full fitness after a long layoff due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
