LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – “Honestly, I was thinking of coming here to the Premier League next year. Then, after that, the last contact with Tottenham was very quick, and I saw I had time to get in and figure out what to do. I took it as a great opportunity. I wanted to take a bit of a break to rest, but instead this happened and I dived right in.” Roberto De Zerbi, who has been coach of the London club since March 31, replacing Igor Tudor, spoke to Sky Sport.
“It’s all exciting. Tottenham is a great club. They have great players. They won few games in 2025 and none in 2026. I don’t think the key is footballing, but more of a mental one. I’m not a magician. My predecessors were both good. I don’t have a magic wand. I hope to bring something of my own in terms of character and then a few things from a technical standpoint,” De Zerbi added.
He will make his debut as Spurs coach on Sunday, away to Sunderland.
