MANCHESTER (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Harry Maguire will lead the Manchester United defense next season as well. The 33-year-old English defender, whose contract expires in June, has signed a renewal until 2027 with the option of a further year. Maguire was signed in 2019 from Leicester for a then-record fee of 80 million pounds: since then, he has made 266 appearances, including victories in the League Cup (2023) and FA Cup (2024). Stripped of the captaincy by Ten Hag and relegated to the sidelines by Amorim, Maguire has returned to prominence since mid-January, with the arrival of Carrick as manager.
