Real Madrid planning an anticipated revolution next summer

MADRID (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – Real Madrid is heading toward a revolution. According to Mundo Deportivo, tensions are high within the club and internal discussions are underway that could lead to a change of direction in the sporting management, where two opposing camps have emerged: on one side general director José Ángel Sánchez and chief scout Juni Calafat, and on the other Anas Laghari, a trusted ally of Florentino Pérez.

The first decision to be made concerns the head coach. At the moment, only a Champions League victory would allow Álvaro Arbeloa to keep his position. The dream option remains Jürgen Klopp, although he does not appear willing to return to coaching for now. Another option to watch is Mauricio Pochettino, who could leave the United States after the World Cup and had already been considered in the summer of 2022 as a possible successor to Zidane.

On the transfer market front, however, the club’s primary target could slip away. According to As, Nico Schlotterbeck—whose contract runs until 2027—is reportedly very close to agreeing on a renewal with Borussia Dortmund. A salary increase and a commitment from the club regarding a potential future transfer would have unlocked the negotiations.
