MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The Israel Football Association has reportedly received an optimistic message from UEFA, European football’s governing body, stating that a decision in principle has been made that teams qualifying for European competitions this summer will have to prepare for the return leg of their matches in Israel.
The news was reported by the daily newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth and the Ynet portal. This marks a significant policy shift for the first time in three years, since matches were suspended in the country following the October 7 massacre.
