Ciro Immobile on the verge of joining Paris FC from Bologna

PARIS (ITALPRESS) – Ciro Immobile is increasingly close to joining Paris FC. According to L’Equipe, the Parisian club, which is looking for a No. 9 for the second half of the season, has already reached an agreement with Bologna, the club where the almost 36-year-old striker from Campania has been playing since last summer, after moving from Besiktas. Immobile is under contract until the end of the season.

For the deal to be completed, only a few details remain to be settled with the player, but the agreement is expected to be finalized very quickly, well before the transfer window closes on Monday evening, subject to the successful completion of the customary medical examinations.

European champion with Italy in 2021 (57 caps, 17 goals), Immobile has played for several clubs including Genoa, Torino, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and, above all, Lazio, with whom he still holds the record for most goals scored in a single Serie A season (36 in 2019–2020).

After suffering a thigh injury upon his arrival in Turkey, Immobile missed two months this season and has made only nine appearances for Vincenzo Italiano’s Bologna side. During his time at Besiktas, he scored 15 goals in 30 appearances in the Turkish league.

In the French capital, Immobile would find another Italian, former Verona defender Diego Coppola, who has just joined on loan from Brighton, and his arrival would complete the Paris club’s transfer window. Paris FC are currently 14th in Ligue 1.
