LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Troubled waters at Tottenham Hotspur. Yesterday’s home defeat to West Ham calls into question, according to “BBC Sport,” Thomas Frank’s position as manager, whose position is “under strict internal review,” with the London club reportedly considering terminating the Danish manager’s tenure after just seven months.
Spurs are currently in 14th place in the Premier League, with just seven wins in 22 games (just one in the last eight), and much of their fan base is already against the former Brentford manager. “They’ll sack you tomorrow morning,” some supporters chanted yesterday at Frank, who replaced Ange Postecoglou last summer. For Tottenham, already eliminated from both domestic cups, the Champions League now comes into play: Spurs are 11th in the qualifying group and will face Borussia Dortmund this week in a crucial match to try and secure direct qualification.
