JEDDAH (SAUDI ARABIA) (ITALPRESS) – Tomorrow evening (8:00 PM CET), Barcelona and Real Madrid will face off at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Catalans arrive at the match after a resounding 5-0 win over Athletic Bilbao in the semifinals, a match that left Hansi Flick completely satisfied (and rightly so).
“We put in a great performance on Wednesday,” said the German coach, “and tomorrow we’ll have a few more options at our disposal. I won’t decide on the lineup until after training, but I have a lot of options, and they’re all excellent. This El Clasico is a final and therefore worthy of a title, and I want to see a team performance like the one against Athletic. We have to show our strength on the pitch. We’re Barcelona and we want to win everything. We have to show our best self on the pitch, and I have a good feeling about it.”
Real Madrid prevailed in the last match. “After that defeat we immediately recovered. In the last year and a half we’ve played a lot of ‘Clasicos’ and only lost one. I don’t see tomorrow’s match as a chance for redemption, but as a final.”
