Ahead of the EFL Cup match against Swansea, Pep Guardiola announced that the Spanish midfielder “is not ready yet. He’s feeling better and is training with us, but I have no idea when he’ll be available again. Hopefully soon, but he’s not fit to play yet.”
A possible rest is also on the cards for Erling Haaland, who came out of the last match with some discomfort. “We’ll see how he feels this afternoon and decide if he can play. Could he miss the cup game? Yes,” Guardiola said.
