OSLO (NORWAY) (ITALPRESS) – After calling for his resignation on August 7 alongside federation chief Lise Klaveness, the Norwegian Football Federation has officially requested an investigation into FIFA President Gianni Infantino regarding three issues implicating the head of world football. The first concerns the awarding of a Peace Prize to Donald Trump prior to the World Cup; the second involves the lifting of a suspension imposed on US forward Folarin Balogun during the tournament; and finally, there is the matter of the
“FIFA Forward Enterprise” project, which came to light after the conclusion of the global event. The Norwegian Federation has appealed to FIFA’s Ethics and Compliance Committees, asking them to investigate Gianni Infantino for alleged “possible abuse of power.”
