TRIPOLI (LIBYA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – A Libyan Coast Guard patrol rescued 43 irregular migrants of various African nationalities, including 16 women and 5 children, from a dinghy in distress off the coast of Tripoli, following a report from the Joint Operations Room.
According to a statement on Facebook by the Libyan General Administration for Coastal Security, the operation was conducted at dawn on September 6, and the migrants were rescued and brought to safety. The required legal and humanitarian procedures have been initiated.
