Libya, 40 million liters of gasoline on the way to ease severe fuel crisis

TRIPOLI (LIBYA) (ITALPRESS) – Libya’s Interior Ministry has announced the arrival at the port of Tripoli of a tanker carrying 40 million liters of gasoline, which will be distributed to service stations around the clock to ease the severe fuel shortage that has caused long queues throughout the capital and in other cities.

According to a statement posted by the Libyan Interior Ministry on Facebook, a second tanker carrying a further 40 million liters will arrive at the port of Tripoli the day after tomorrow to replenish supplies. The ministry urged citizens not to crowd service stations or obstruct traffic, stressing that sufficient quantities of fuel are available.

Regional security directorates have been instructed to coordinate with police forces to regulate traffic outside fuel stations and reduce congestion.
