MILAN (ITALPRESS) – In the heart of the Iraqi city of Najaf, where life stories intertwine every day, the San Donato Group has contributed to the rebirth of a healthcare facility. Not just a hospital, but a point of reference for the entire region.
The project at the Najaf Teaching Hospital stems from the vision of not simply renovating the spaces, but also empowering those who work there every day and building healthcare services worthy of the people who expect them.
“The results achieved by the San Donato Group at the Najaf Teaching Hospital are an extraordinary testament to what international cooperation can achieve when guided by expertise, vision, and commitment,” says Kamel Ghribi, President of the GKSD Group and Vice President of the San Donato Group.
“When we launched this project, our goal was to concretely improve the quality of care. Today, in some areas, mortality has gone from levels close to 100% to around 35%, and we are now moving towards 10%, with a continuous improvement path towards the best international standards. Looking at these numbers, I was moved; they are tremendous results. It means that out of 100 patients today, we save 75 or 80, and we are moving towards almost zero mortality.”
