NEW YORK (UNITED STATES) (ITALPRESS) – The Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia met in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. According to a joint statement issued by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the ministers expressed deep concern over the continuing deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and called on Israel to honor the commitments outlined in the first phase of the Comprehensive Plan, ensuring the immediate, safe, and unhindered entry of humanitarian aid and supplies necessary for early recovery.
The ministers also reiterated the need to maintain the ceasefire and put an end to violations. They emphasized that the Roadmap constitutes an integral part of the Comprehensive Plan and the framework for implementing the second phase, including a full Israeli withdrawal, the deployment of an international stabilization force, the assumption of responsibilities by the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, and the commencement of reconstruction. The ministers categorically rejected any expulsion or forced displacement of Palestinians and condemned the expansion of Israeli settlements, land confiscation, the demolition of Palestinian homes, and settler violence. Finally, they reaffirmed that Gaza must remain an integral part of Palestinian territory and supported a credible, irreversible path toward Palestinian self-determination and the creation of a sovereign, independent, and viable Palestinian state—with East Jerusalem as its capital—within the framework of the two-state solution.
