ROME (ITALPRESS) – Cristiano Ronaldo is preparing to close one of the most important chapters of his life. The Portuguese champion, now 41 and captain of Portugal and Al Nassr, has announced that next season could be the last of his playing career. This will probably be my last year in football, and I want to leave an extraordinary legacy, Ronaldo said in an interview with Vogue.

The Portuguese has already begun to imagine his life away from the pitch and says he has several plans to fill the void left by football: “I already have my entire future planned out. I have so many things to keep me busy that it’s difficult to point to just one. Football can leave a huge void, so you have to fill your time in different ways, not with just one activity.”

His plans also include more travel and a lot of padel, one of his great passions: “I also want to have more fun, travel more, watch and play padel, which I really enjoy, and continue to enjoy what I’ve achieved. Ultimately, it’s been 25 years of great sacrifice.”

The interview was conducted during his wedding to Georgina Rodriguez, which took place last week at their home in Cascais with a family ceremony.
