ROME (ITALPRESS) — UEFA is standing alongside the victims of the floods in Nepal. European football’s governing body has ordered a minute of silence to be observed before all Champions League matches this week.
At the same time, a banner will be displayed as a sign of solidarity and support. The banner will carry the message: “Nepal, you are not alone.”
“The entire European football family will come together before this week’s matches to express our deepest condolences and our support to the people of Nepal. We wish them strength and resilience as they continue to recover from this tragedy and its consequences,” UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin said.
