VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Malta has decided to recognize all Israeli travel documents. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced this today, following discussions with Maltese Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Chris Fearne.
The decision will also allow Israelis in possession of alternative travel documents, including the Teudat Ma’avar, issued by the Israeli Ministry of the Interior as an alternative to the standard national passport, to enter Malta.
Until now, Malta was the only country in the Schengen Area not to recognize this document as valid for entry.
