Egypt steps up digitization of the judicial system

CAIRO (EGYPT) (ITALPRESS) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met today in Alamein with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Justice Minister Mahmoud Helmy El-Sherif to review several issues concerning the development of the judicial system and ministry services.

According to Mohamed El-Shennawy, spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, who reported on the meeting on Facebook, the talks focused in particular on progress in the construction of the “City of Justice” in the New Administrative Capital, including digital infrastructure and technologies for judicial facilities.

Al-Sisi stressed that the project should create an integrated digital judicial system capable of facilitating access to swift justice and providing citizens with advanced judicial services.

The president also reviewed developments in the digitization of notarial and real estate registration services, as well as measures taken to speed up the examination of court cases. Initiatives include the electronic management of proceedings before criminal courts and the implementation of a unified digital justice strategy.
