ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Senegalese Football Federation has dismissed head coach Pape Thiaw following the national team’s elimination in the World Cup Round of 32 at the hands of Belgium. “After a careful assessment of sporting results and the national team’s prospects, the executive committee deemed it necessary to initiate this process in the interest of Senegalese football,” reads the statement, which notes that the committee has also “tasked the president with taking all necessary measures for a comprehensive reorganization of all national teams.” Federation president Abdoulaye Fall will hold a press conference on Monday, July 13.
