BARCELONA (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – Having secured Gordon and reached an agreement for Adeyemi, Barcelona is ready to move on to the Julian Alvarez deal. The Argentine forward—who publicly asked to leave Atletico Madrid during the World Cup—remains a top target; according to Sport, Joan Laporta has decided to take charge of the situation and speak directly with Enrique Cerezo, the Colchoneros’ president.
Despite official statements, Atletico is reportedly willing to negotiate, provided a replacement is found first. For its part, Barça intends to submit an offer of around €100 million once the World Cup concludes; however, it will be a “take-it-or-leave-it” proposal, as the Colchoneros’ €150 million asking price is considered excessive.
