MADRID (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – Atlético Madrid are seeking midfield reinforcements and are eyeing Serie A with interest. According to the Swiss edition of “Sky Sport,” the club has specifically been closely monitoring Roma’s Manu Kone and Parma’s Mandela Keita. The former is the priority, and confirmation of this comes from Spain, where “El Gol Digital” already reports concrete contact between the club and the Giallorossi, with an initial offer of €45 million having been rejected.
Roma has reportedly asked for €50 million, but the deal could include Matteo Ruggeri, whom Gasperini knows well having coached him at Atalanta and whom Atlético value at €30 million.
In that case, 19-year-old Jorge Salinas from Racing Santander, who has a €16 million release clause, would land in Madrid as the Italian’s replacement on the left flank. However, if the negotiations for Konè don’t take off, the Colchoneros will then turn to Keita, considered a credible alternative to the Giallorossi player.
