MONTEVIDEO (URUGUAY) (ITALPRESS) – “Our work will end with the World Cup.” Marcelo Bielsa, while waiting to officially announce his 26-man squad, confirmed that he will not renew his contract and will step down as Uruguay coach once the World Cup is over.

“A World Cup is a miracle in the sporting life of any professional, and I, in particular, will be grateful to Uruguay for giving me the opportunity to experience such a competition,” added “El Loco,” 70 years old.

Uruguay have been drawn in Group H alongside Saudi Arabia (June 15 in Miami), Cape Verde (June 21, also in Miami) and Spain (June 26 in Guadalajara).
