MADRID (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – A heated reaction that led the Spanish press to speculate a possible split between Vinicius and Real Madrid, but now the ‘issue’ seems to be over.
According to Madrid newspapers, the Brazilian and coach Xabi Alonso apparently cleared things up today in a cordial meeting. But that’s not all, because Vinicius also posted a statement on his social media to settle the matter and apologize to the entire ‘blanco’ environment.
“I want to apologize to all Madrid fans for my reaction after being substituted during the El Clasico,” the striker wrote. “I did so in person during today’s training session. I apologize to my teammates, the club, and the president. Sometimes passion, the desire to win and help my team, takes over. My competitive nature comes from the love I have for Real Madrid. I promise to continue fighting every second for the good of the club, as I have always done since my first day here.”
