NYON (SWITZERLAND) (ITALPRESS) – UEFA’s disciplinary body has deemed “inadmissible” the appeal filed by Barcelona regarding the penalty denied last week at Camp Nou, during the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal against Atlético Madrid.
Pubill had handled the ball after a pass from Juan Musso, but the referee ruled that play had not yet restarted. However, Barça claimed the gesture was punishable by a penalty, which led to the post-match outcry and the complaint to UEFA, which, however, had no effect.
