ROME (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Tunisian President Kais Saïed has tasked Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Mohamed Ali Nafti with leading the Tunisian delegation to the high-level segment of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, scheduled to take place in New York from September 22 to 29. The Tunisian Foreign Ministry announced this.
Nafti will deliver Tunisia’s statement during the Assembly’s general debate, presenting Tunis’s positions on key regional and international issues. The minister will also attend a series of official meetings and high-level events focusing, among other topics, on the right to development, the effects of rising sea levels, pandemic prevention and response, and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.
During his mission in New York, Nafti will also chair the coordination meeting of Arab foreign ministers and take part in regional ministerial meetings. Bilateral talks are also scheduled with counterparts from friendly and brotherly countries, as well as with representatives of international organizations.
