MADRID (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – Real Madrid has decided to make a determined push for Rodri to bolster its midfield. According to reports from AS, after months of deliberation, the Blancos management has changed its stance, shifting from an initial dismissal to a concrete interest in the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner. The midfielder’s performances at the World Cup reportedly played a decisive role; Rodri, a standout performer for Spain, demonstrated that he had regained peak physical and technical form, finally convincing Florentino Pérez’s club to make a move.
The player has reportedly already expressed a desire to join Real Madrid, turning down advances from PSG as well as contract renewal offers from Manchester City, with whom he is currently tied until June 2027. Reaching an agreement with the player is not expected to be an obstacle, though terms still need to be settled with Manchester City. Real Madrid hopes to finalize the deal with an offer in the range of €40–50 million. When the midfielder’s wages are factored in, the total investment could reach approximately €100 million.
