VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, has begun private meetings with Nationalist Party (PN) MPs and officials to explore a potential return to Malta as party leader, sources told Times of Malta.
Metsola is reportedly open to leading the troubled opposition party but only if there is strong internal support for the significant changes she believes are necessary.
“She is speaking to MPs to assess how the PN can become a broad church party ready for government,” one source said.
