MANCHESTER (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Another hot summer is expected on the transfer market for Manchester United, who, according to English media, are ready to invest over €280 million to revolutionize their midfield. Ruben Amorim’s shopping list includes Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace (valued at €80 million), Elliot Anderson of Nottingham Forest (asking €90 million), and Carlos Baleba of Brighton (the Seagulls don’t intend to sell him for less than €110 million).
The Red Devils will try to sign at least one of them as early as January, otherwise everything will be postponed until the summer, when the resources for these operations will come from outgoing players. If Barcelona’s buyout of Marcus Rashford is considered a done deal, the one most likely to be sacrificed will be 31-year-old captain Bruno Fernandes, while other funds will be raised by the “cuts” of Casemiro and Jadon Sancho: Their contracts, expiring at the end of the season, will not be renewed, with Manchester United saving approximately €32.5 million in salaries.
