Manchester United considering David De Gea return

LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – On his return as an opponent, in the friendly match on August 9th, he received a tribute from his old fans that left him impressed. And who knows, maybe the future holds more surprises. The connection between David De Gea, now at Fiorentina, and Manchester United is still strong. The 34-year-old goalkeeper played at Old Trafford from 2011 to 2023, making 545 appearances, which places him seventh in the club’s all-time appearances list. De Gea hasn’t ruled out the possibility of crossing his path with the Red Devils again in the future, and according to The Sun, United are seriously considering it.

Andre Onana unconvincing Ruben Amorim and the manager himself, ahead of the match against Arsenal, have not given any certainty about the former Inter goalkeeper’s starting position: “He’s like all the other players, everyone has to earn their place.” Over the summer, there have been numerous links for goalkeepers such as Emiliano Martinez, Gigio Donnarumma, and John Victor to United, but if a solution is indeed found for Onana, Manchester United could try to bring De Gea back to Old Trafford.
