VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – The Maltese government has introduced a new law banning the use of sparklers and other pyrotechnic articles at indoor public gatherings, following a deadly bar fire in Switzerland last New Year’s Eve.
The legislation, published through a legal notice, prohibits the use of pyrotechnics in indoor spaces accessible to the public, including clubs and discotheques. It will come into force in two months.
Anyone found breaching the law will face fines ranging from €120 to €350.
