Investment Africa, Fratini (Delta Center) “A Real Opportunity for Businesses”

TUNIS (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Strengthening trade relations between Italian companies and Tunisian economic players while exploring strategic sectors: this is the goal of Investment Africa 2025, scheduled from September 25 to 27 in Tunis at the Carthage Thalasso Resort. The initiative, designed for Italian businesses seeking to expand in Tunisia and across African markets, is promoted by Delta Center, together with Confimprese Italia, Confimprese Tunisia, and CONECT Tunisia. Explaining the project in an interview with Italpress is Sandro Fratini, President of Delta Center.

What is the main theme of Investment Africa 2025 and who will be the key participants?

“The central idea is to create a real platform for Italian and Tunisian businesses to meet and turn mutual interest into concrete partnerships. Investment Africa 2025 will not be a theoretical conference but three days of targeted B2B meetings, company visits, and networking opportunities that will allow Italian entrepreneurs to gain first-hand knowledge of Tunisia’s production landscape. The main players will be small and medium-sized Italian enterprises, who will have the chance to engage directly with local entrepreneurs and investors. The initiative is organized by Delta Center with Confimprese Italia and Confimprese Tunisia, and made possible thanks to the valuable collaboration of CONECT Tunisia – the Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises, which represents Tunisian SMEs across various sectors”.

What are the objectives and tangible benefits of the initiative for communities, businesses, and operators?

“Our aim is to provide a safe and structured first entry into the Tunisian market, building a stable bridge between the two countries. Many Italian companies are interested in Tunisia but often don’t know how to proceed or whom to approach. Investment Africa 2025 was created to fill this gap. The benefits are multiple. For Italian companies, it means saving time, reducing uncertainty, meeting reliable partners, and discovering new business opportunities. For Tunisian operators, it is a chance to access Italian know-how and technologies that can boost their competitiveness. The Italian community in Tunisia will also benefit, as it will be directly involved in strengthening economic and professional ties, playing an active role in developing local synergies. Just these past days, while attending Expo 2025 in Osaka, I underlined before an international business audience how Africa represents a crucial turning point in today’s global economy. I highlighted the many opportunities the continent offers Italian and European companies across industries: from manufacturing to technology, from agri-food to energy. Investing in Africa not only allows our companies to expand internationally but also helps African countries access advanced technologies and know-how, creating solid and mutually beneficial partnerships. That is precisely the spirit behind Investment Africa 2025: turning potential into concrete projects”.

How will this event strengthen relations between Tunisia, Italy, and third countries?

“Investment Africa 2025 is an important tool of economic diplomacy. On one hand, it consolidates the already strong ties between Italy and Tunisia by providing a practical framework for cooperation based on trust and shared projects. On the other, it positions Tunisia as a strategic hub for Africa and the Mediterranean region. For an Italian company, investing in Tunisia means not only accessing its domestic market but also tapping into a wider regional platform that connects Europe to Africa. This trilateral dimension, which includes third countries, gives the event a broader scope and long-term perspective. In this sense, the collaboration between Delta Center, Confimprese, and CONECT Tunisia ensures that the initiative will not remain a one-off event, but rather the starting point of a structured path of cooperation”.
