It’s a day I’ll remember for the rest of my life.” This is how Franco Mastantuono introduces himself, who on his 18th birthday officially becomes a new player for Real Madrid. “I know I have to keep learning, but I promise I’ll give everything for this shirt. I’ll be one more fan, but on the pitch,” said the Argentine player who arrived from River Plate.

Mastantuono will wear the number 30 jersey: given his age, Real Madrid signed him up as a youth player, and La Liga requires numbers 26 and up for players coming through the youth system. Number 30, incidentally, was the same number Mastantuono wore at River.
