VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – The European Commission has initiated infringement proceedings against Malta over the protection granted to Malta-registered gaming companies from court judgements issued in other EU member states.
The Commission sent Malta a formal notice, stating the country is breaching Regulation (EU) 1215/2012, which governs jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgements across the EU. The issue specifically relates to Malta’s gaming sector.
