Dinamo Zagreb has officially appointed Zvonimir Boban as club president

ZAGREB (CROATIA) (ITALPRESS) – Dinamo Zagreb has officially appointed Zvonimir Boban as club president. The former AC Milan star, who also played for Bari, was the sole candidate for president, and his list received 99% of the vote. He replaces Velimir Zajec (former Dinamo player, coach, sporting director, and general manager), who will remain with the club as honorary president.

In addition to Boban, nine members of the Supervisory Board were also elected, which will be led by Frano Šušnjara, with Mislav Ante Omazic as deputy. “Congratulations to all the members of the assembly on their election. It’s been a long journey, we’ve completed it, and I’m proud of everyone; our club has the right people. This is a historic assembly for many reasons,” said Boban, who is increasingly attached to the Zagreb team.

The former Croatian international joined Dinamo’s youth team at the age of 15. He made his debut on December 12, 1985, scoring a goal in a friendly. His first competitive goal came on September 21, 1986, 17 days after his 18th birthday. He made 114 appearances and scored 43 goals until 1991, when he moved to Italy, first to Bari and then to AC Milan.
