BARCELONA (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – Unlucky period for André Ter Stegen. Absent during Barcelona’s first few days of preparation, the 33-year-old German goalkeeper announced on social media that he will undergo further surgery to address shoulder issues and will be out for three months.
Ter Stegen had already missed much of last season with a serious knee injury, and at the end of 2023, he underwent surgery for a herniated disc, sidelining him for two months. Ter Stegen’s absence temporarily solves a problem for Barcelona, as the signing of Joan Garcia and the renewal of Szczesny had made the German goalkeeper redundant.
