BARCELONA (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – Hansi Flick represents both the present and the future of Barcelona, but looking further ahead, there is a coach whose background and footballing philosophy would make him an ideal candidate to one day take the reins. That man is Cesc Fàbregas, who grew up at Barcelona’s La Masia academy and later returned to the club between 2011 and 2014 before moving to Chelsea.
According to Sport, his work at Como is being closely monitored by the Barcelona board; should the day come when Flick steps down, the current Como manager would be among the top options. In addition to Fàbregas, Barcelona is also keeping an eye on the early coaching steps of Sergio Busquets, who is currently part of the technical staff for the B team—a setup led by another former Blaugrana player, Juliano Belletti.
