RIO DE JANEIRO (BRAZIL) (ITALPRESS) – Having returned from his loan spell at Girona but being left out of the club’s plans, so much so that he wasn’t even called up for yesterday’s friendly against Atalanta, Arthur is preparing to leave Juventus again. According to the Brazilian press, the 29-year-old midfielder is reportedly looking to return “home,” to Gremio, where he excelled by winning the Libertadores in 2017 before joining Barcelona.
An agreement has reportedly already been reached between the Tricolor and the player – who has reportedly declined offers from other Brazilian clubs – with the midfielder willing to reduce his salary. Negotiations with Juventus, however, are expected to get underway next week: Arthur’s contract expires in June, so a loan would be unfeasible. However, an early termination could not be ruled out, with an agreement between Juventus and the former Barça player on the emoluments he would be entitled to for the final year of his contract.
