VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – US Ambassador to Malta, Somers Farkas, says the US Embassy has achieved “concrete results for America” in her first 140 days in office, citing progress in the areas of security, technology, and the economy. In a statement posted on Facebook, Farkas said the embassy has actively promoted President Donald Trump’s agenda, repeatedly invoking his National Security Strategy and emphasizing a results-oriented approach.
The ambassador highlighted the expansion of joint law enforcement training to counter drug trafficking, sanctions evasion, and organized crime, along with new partnerships in emerging technologies and autonomous systems to strengthen cyber capabilities. Initiatives have also included cooperation in space exploration and diplomacy, while contacts with US energy companies, including LNG companies, and other investors aim to deepen economic ties. Discussions have also begun with American construction companies on possible “redevelopment projects.”
