Bernardo Silva confirms his departure from Manchester City

MANCHESTER (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Manchester City and Bernardo Silva will part ways at the end of the season. The 31-year-old Portuguese midfielder, whose contract expires in June, announced the news on social media. Silva arrived from Monaco in 2017 and has racked up 76 goals and 77 assists in 451 games, contributing to 15 trophies.

“What we won and achieved together is a legacy I will always cherish,” said Silva, who also inherited the captain’s armband from De Bruyne last summer. “The 100-point league campaign, the four trophies won in England in the same season, the Treble, four consecutive titles, and so much more: it wasn’t all that bad. I arrived as a Manchester City player, I leave as one of you, a lifelong City fan. Keep supporting this young team, and I’m pretty sure it will give you many new, fantastic memories in the future. Let’s enjoy these final weeks together and fight for what this season still has to offer us,” concluded Bernardo Silva, who has been linked for weeks with clubs like Barcelona and Juventus.
